Mrs. Lauren Alvarado
My name is Lauren Alvarado and I teach Kindergarten at Loving Savior. This is my eighth year of teaching at Loving Savior. I grew up in Garden Grove, California. I recently moved to Placentia with my husband Mark and our cat Ellie. I have gone to Lutheran schools all my life. I began at St. Paul’s Lutheran School from K-8th, Orange Lutheran for High School and Concordia University for college. I graduated from Concordia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies and received my Multiple-Subject Teaching Credential. When I was in High School I began working in the Daycare Program at St. Paul’s and worked there throughout college. I’ve also been an instructional aide in Kindergarten, 4th, and 5th grade. I was also a Kindergarten/1st grade combo teacher in Mesa, Arizona for a year. I’ve had the joy of being a Resource teacher at St. Bonaventure School as well working with grades Pre-K to 8th grade. The reason I became a Lutheran school teacher was because at a young age my 1st grade teacher Miss Ommen inspired me to want to teach. Her love of teaching and joyful spirit really stood out to me and I wanted the opportunity to be able to do the same for my students. I am so glad that God has led me down this path.
