My name is Brian Negvesky, and I have been teaching at Loving Savior for 15 years. I began my career in middle school and taught History and PE for 5 years. I have taught 3rd grade for the last 10 years, and I love my job. Prior to beginning my teaching career, I served 3 years as a junior high and high school youth director. I also spent 6 years coaching high school basketball for my alma mater. It was through coaching that I truly discovered my love for teaching.  In regard to my education, I earned my BA in History from Cal Poly, Pomona. I went on to obtain my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Cal State, Los Angeles. I completed my student teaching in a 3rd-grade classroom, at an elementary school in South Gate.  I believe that children should love coming to school on a daily basis. I remember my 3rd-grade year fondly, and I want my students to do the same. I have an opportunity to teach and instruct the children in many different and exciting areas. It is in 3rd grade where the students become more comfortable with multiplication, division, and even cursive writing. Students also get to learn about the many adaptations that animals are equipped with, and study the vast universe that we are a part of. It is in 3rd grade when students really start to grow in their individuality and strive to be part of a group. Most importantly, the students have a continued opportunity to grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I have always thought of my class like an extended family, and I believe that is what the students in my class become part of here at Loving Savior. God bless you, and take care!
